We offer a 2-year Graduate Engineering Program, with 4 Engineering Streams (Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering, and Manufacturing Engineering).
Objectives
- Develop and retain world-class engineers that support Codan Limited's business strategies
- Provide Graduate Engineers with a training and a development career path
- Provide broad exposure within the engineers' area of expertise to apply their knowledge and skills both in design and manufacturing environments
- Develop engineers product design knowledge across Codan's core product families
Codan Learning Model
Graduate/Apprentice
Selected Apprentice or Graduate Engineer to undertake structured development with Codan
Codan Mentor
Codan Senior Engineer who will mentor and coach the Graduate/Apprentice throughout the duration of the development program. The mentor will have expertise in the same field as the Graduate/Apprentice
Business Unit Project Manager/Engineering Manager
Codan Engineer who is accountable for the Graduate/Apprentice’s development in the specific business unit
University/TAFE
Graduate/Apprentice’s formal learning environment and structured learning support
Program Design
Each Graduate Engineer will have the opportunity to spend 6 months in each participating Business Unit.
Graduates will be deployed on existing projects under the supervision of the Business Unit Project Manager or Engineering Manager. They will also be assigned a Codan Mentor (Senior Engineer in relevant field of engineering) who will provide coaching and mentoring for the whole duration of the program.
A completion certificate will be issued at the end of the program.
Selection
To be considered for our Graduate Engineering Program, you will have:
- Qualification in fields related to Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering (Expectant graduates in both Bachelor’s degree and postgraduate degrees will be considered)
